Description
A small planthopper associated with grasslands, usually brachypterous. The males have a dark abdomen and light forewings, and a distinctive large genital segment which is deeply cut into a blunt 'V' shape on the upper surface. Females are paler and harder to identify.

Good photographs of males, showing abdomen. Females can be identifed with care from a specimen, and with expert verification.
