The cap is salmon-pink coloured, often very wrinkled and with an inrolled margin.  The gills are also pink

Strongly associated with Elm on stumps and fallen branches, but occasionally on other deciduous tree species

Found in autumn and early winter.

Infrequent in Britain.  It became common in the aftermath of Dutch Elm disease, but is now declining.

Occasional in Leicestershire and Rutland.
