Woolly Beech Aphid - Phyllaphis fagi
Description
The aphids are covered entirely by white waxy filaments that are secreted from its body.
The aphids cause irregular upward bulges on the leaves, with the aphids living in shallow depressions underneath and causing the leaf to curl downwards

Thought to be widespread and fairly frequent in Britain, but its presence is little recorded.
