Description
A small (about 6 mm) and colourful beetle with greenish elytra studded in rows, and with orange head, pronotum and legs.
Identification difficulty
Habitat
Associated with fungi and can be found in numbers on large bracket fungi soon after they open.
When to see it
May to October.
UK Status
Widespread in the southern half of Britain.
VC55 Status
Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were a total of 25 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
