Tomocerus vulgaris
Description
The genus Tomocerus is recognisable for having a very long 3rd antennal segment (ant.3).
Unlike the more uniform iridescence of T. minor, T. vulgaris has transverse bands of iridescent scales, although these tend to wear off older specimens.
the spines on the dens (part of the furcula) are non-toothed - c.f. T. minor.
