Description

The wings are noticeably browner than most other species in the genus and have a dark spot. The legs are orangey with black 'knees'.

Wet woodland, and occasionally in hedgerows.

When to see it

June to September.

Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.

Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland.
