Males: 2 to 3.2 mm, females: 2 to 4.3 mm. Prosoma yellow-brown, not annulated. Legs yellow-brown. Opisthosoma whitish with paired chevrons.

Vegetation, gardens, grassland, arable fields, wetland, heathland and woodland, also regularly recorded indoors.

Adults can be found throughout the year, mostly in the summer and autumn.

Common, in many parts of Britain one of the most ubiquitous spiders.

Very common in Leicestershire and Rutland but under recorded due to identification difficulty.
