Description
This species has orangey brown abdomen, legs and antennae, whilst the head is yellow and black.

Rough grassland, meadows and other grassy places.

Life History
Larvae feed on various grasses.

A widespread and common British species
VC55 Status
Fairly common in Leicestershire and Rutland.
