Sorosphaerula veronicae causes galls on various species of Speedwell (Veronica sp.). The gall takes the form of a large (up to 4 mm thick) swelling of the stems (mainly lower down), also veins and petioles; inside is a reddish-brown mass of spores.

Unless identified by an acknowledged expert, provide photos of the host plant as well as the gall.  Ensure you have identified the host-species, and included this in your notes

There are few records at present as it was only re-discovered fairly recently in Britain.
