Small Striped Flea Beetle - Phyllotreta undulata

Description

A tiny beetle, which measures little more than about 1.5 mm. Its black elytra are marked with broad straw yellow longitudinal stripes. It is similar to Phyllotreta nemorum and detailed examination is necessary to be certain of the species.

UK Status

Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.

VC55 Status

Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were a total of 60 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
