Length 2.5 to 4.5 mm. Prosoma yellowish red-brown. Opisthosoma yellowish grey to almost black.

Examination of the genitalia of mature specimens is required to confirm this species. 

A ground living species found under stones, in leaf litter and moss.

All year round.

Widespread in Britain.

Not uncommon in suitable habitat in Leicestershire and Rutland.
