Similar to our native Meadow Crane's-bill, but the flowers are often slightly deeper or more purple-blue in colour and the leaves are less deeply cut.

This is a cultivated plant that sometimes escapes and thrives for a time in the wild often close to habitation.

Flowers June to August.

Perennial.

Widespread as an escape from cultivation, particularly well recorded in Scotland and Wales.

Rare as a wild plant in Leicestershire and Rutland. It was not recorded in the 1979 Flora survey of Leicestershire.
