Puccinia adoxae causes galls on Moschatel (Adoxa moschatellina); the plant is stunted with swollen, distorted leaves and stems.  Only chocolate-brown telia are formed, on both sides of the leaf, on petioles and stems.   The teliospores are two-celled.

Puccinia albescens also affects on this host, but produces pale yellow aecia; telia are rarely produced
