Body length about 6 mm. Pseudoperichaeta nigrolineata bears a strong resemblance to Phryxe sp.in particular, but differs, among other things, in that the brushes above the vibrissae reach halfway up the face edge and that on the middle rail bone there is only one anterodorsal brush.

A parasitoid of moths, especially in the Tortricidae family.

Status in Britain is difficult to determine due to lack of records.
