Polydesmus

Polydesmus

Description

Flat-backed millipedes in the Polydesmus genus are all very similar in appearance and only identifiable to species by examining the male gonopods. If this isn't possible then you should record sightings as the genus only.

The early stage nymphs of Polydesmus millipedes are only about 1mm in length, and are whitish in colour. They have only 3 pairs of legs at this stage.
