A small longhorn beetle to 6 mm with yellowish to tan, black tipped bristly elytra and yellowish legs.

Feeds on the twigs and branches of various deciduous trees and bushes.

Best from late spring to autumn.

It usually it takes the larvae 1 year to develop into an adult beetle but in some cases they need two years.

Fairly frequent and widespread in England and Wales.

Occasional in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were a total of 29 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
