Description

This 3mm long flea beetle is black and brown with pale legs. Only the hind femur is black otherwise the legs are all straw yellow. The 5th antennal segment is elongated.

Habitat

Found on a range of brassicas, but especially on garlic mustard.

When to see it

Summer to early autumn.

UK Status

Widespread and fairly frequent in much of England, but seems to be less well recorded elsewhere in Britain.

VC55 Status

Occasional in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were a total of 22 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
