Males 3.1 to 3.8 mm; Females 4 to 5.4 mm. Prosoma with orange-brown lateral stripes. Opisthosoma yellowish with bright chevrons. Legs pale, greenish.

Usually found in woodland or hedgerows on the lower branches of broad-leaved trees such as oak at the edge of clearings or rides.

Adults found from May to July with a peak in June.

Mostly confined to south-east England but probably spreading north west.

Rarely recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland
