It emerges in April or May 

Lays eggs on the undersides of leaves of Beet, Spinach, Orache, Fat-hen etc. The larvae then mine the leaves before pupating.

Widespread in Britain, but not well recorded.

Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
