Small, short legged species, legs characteristically thicker in the 40% or so nearest the body. Silvery-grey to pinkish brown dorsal, light stripe on the back, trident with five teeth. Females up to 4.5mm, males 3.6mm. Mature from July and in mild winters until March. Gential operculum on ventral side is distinctive. 

It often lives in trees but can also be found in ground vegetation.

From late summer into winter.

A common and abundant harvestman throughout Britain.

Common in Leicestershire and Rutland.
