At 4-6mm, this pale-golden coloured Tortoise Beetle is generally the smallest in the genus. It has a translucent yellowish rim.

Areas of long grass, flowers and coarse vegetation.

Best months are May and June, however it overwinters in grass tussocks so can be found at any time of year.

Associated with a range of plants including Creeping Thistle and Chickweeds.

Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.

Infrequent in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were a total of 10 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
