A tiny orange-red fungus found on twigs, etc. The cap is conical or bell-shaped and usually paler towards the edge.  Gills are adnexed/free, white or pale yellow; the stipe is pale yellow. 

Mycena adonis may also have a red-orange cap.  Rickenella fibula is a very small orange grassland species with strongly decurrent gills.

Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.

Status in Leicestershire & Rutland not known.
