Kidney-shaped caps are fleshy and gelatinous, initially orange then olive green, eventually becoming greyish, slimy when wet.  It has a short thick off-centre stipe.  The gills are pale yellow to orange, and crowded.   Spore print white, spores sausage-shaped.
