Description

The fungus Neosetophoma samarorum produces minute (0.15mm) black pycnidia immersed in the wings of Ash keys (samara) - these appear as very small dots on the wings of the samara

Similar Species

Diaporthe samaricola has larger, more obvious black dots on Ash keys, at the seed end.
