This species group can be generally characterised as having a greyish thorax and a pale brown abdomen with darker stripes.  Determination to species level requires detailed examination.  Records for specimens that have not been microscopically examined should be enterd on the Minettia fasciata aggregate page.

Adults may be found on leaves in open deciduous woodland, on shrubs and hedges and on isolated trees.

No reliable information on this poorly studied group.

True status is difficult to determine due to problems of identification, however it would seem to be fairly widespread in the southern half of Britain at least.
