Description
The abdomen is narrow with parallel yellow bands. The spots on tergite two are broadly rounded on their inner margins.

Habitat
Found in the vicinity of trees and bushes.
When to see it
April to November peaking August/September.
Life History
The larvae are predators on a range of arboreal aphids.
UK Status
Quite common throughout Britain.
VC55 Status
Quite common in Leicestershire and Rutland.
