Cap initially convex then flattened with depressed centre; greyish-brown or -buff  in colour, drying lighter, and with a greyish coating. Gills slightly decurrent, pale grey.   Smell strongly farinaceous.  Spore-print white, spores very small, spherical.

This is a difficult species to identify, and we recommend that a specimen is examined by an expert before submission to NatureSpot. Also photograph from top down, in side view and from underneath to show gills and full length of stipe.  Note smell, habitat and substrate.

Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
