A small (4 mm) green bug, usually found on bramble. Macrolophus species can be recognised by the dark bar between the rather small eyes and the pronotum. This species can be separated from the scarcer Macrolophus pygmaeus by the relative length of the 3rd antennal segment, which is at least twice that of the 4th. There is also a small black mark at the apex of the clavus.

Adult: mainly summer, but may overwinter.

Seems to be infrequent, with most records coming from the southern half of Britain.

Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
