Length 10 to 13 mm. A very dark brown caddisfly with paler spots on the wing.
Habitat
Temporary puddles, pools, marshes and pond edges.
When to see it
May to June and August to October with a summer diapause.
UK Status
Widespread and fairly common in Britain.

Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland.
