A large shrub with arching branches bearing oval leaves to 6 cm in length, white-hairy beneath. Large clusters of small white flowers are followed by clusters of small red berries.

Little recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland. It was not recorded in the 1979 Flora survey of Leicestershire.
