Description
The fourth-instar nymph has transverse rows of brown patches on the dorsal abdomen. The adult alate is large and stout-bodied. It has a darkened head and thorax, and a yellow abdomen with dark brown transverse bands. The forewing veins are fuscous-bordered.

May occur on European Walnut (Juglans regia) where it is present.
When to see it
When Walnut is in leaf.
Life History
Panaphis juglandis live on the upper sides of leaves of European Walnut in rows along the veins, and are sometimes ant-attended.

Status in Britain is hard to determine due to lack of records.
