Description

Length 9 to 14 mm. The back of the wing is quite sharply angled. The amount of mottling on the wing varies from one individual to the next.

Larva spins a net amongst gravel to trap food.

UK Status

Common and widespread in Britain.

VC55 Status

Probably under recorded in VC55 (Leicestershire and Rutland) where there are very few records, the first being from Groby in 2010.
