Hyadaphis passerinii apterae are elongate and greyish green with a waxy bloom. The antennae and legs are black as are the siphunculi and cauda.  The apterae body length is 1.3 to 2.3 mm. For more detail follow the 'Further Information' link below.

This is a difficult genus.  Detailed photographs and correct identification of the host species is essential.

The species host alternates between Honeysuckle species and umbelifers and should be looked for in areas whee those species are present.

True status in Britain is difficult to determine due to lack of records.

Rarely recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland.
