A large robust member of the family: a plant may reach 60 cm in height and 75 cm across. It has lime green flowers and large, light green, fan like, hairy and slightly pleated leaves.

The native Alchemilla filicaulis subsp vestita is a much smaller plant

It will tolerate both sun and slight shade, so may be found in various habitats.

A garden escape that has now colonised most of Britain.

Occasional in Leicestershire and Rutland. It was not recorded in the 1979 Flora survey of Leicestershire.

In the current VC55 checklist (Jeeves 2011) it is listed as Alien; neophyte; occasional.  First record in 1995
