A smallish funnel, often in fairy rings.  Iniitially convex cap, soon flattening or slightly depressed; cap covered in a smooth white coating that cracks in patches and concentric rings to reveal the darker buff cap colour underneath. Spore-print is white.

This can be a difficult species to identify and we recommend that it is identified from a specimen by an expert before submission to NatureSpot.  Also photograph from top down, in side view and from underneath to show gills and full length of stipe.  Note habitat and substrate.
