The cups are conical with a fluted or striated inner surface and an outer surface covered in hairs.  Initially the cup is covered by a lid. also hairy, which falls aways when the 'eggs' are ready to dsperse.   The 'eggs' or peridioles are grey and flattened. 

Other Bird's-nest fungi do not have a fluted inner surface to the cup.
