Usually grows to between 20 and 30cm high, with dense yellow flower spikes and fern like leaves which sometimes have a bronze tinge.

Flowering in spring and summer.

Perennial.

Widespread, but very occasional records in England.

Rarely recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland.
