Body length male: 1.45 to 1.6 mm. Body length female: 1.5 to 2 mm. Tibial apophysis with a distinctly spined and a slightly bent process. Paracymbium distally bipartite. Prosoma brown to dark brown. Legs yellow-brown to brown, with basally brighter tibia. Opisthosoma bright yellowish grey to black-grey.

In different habitats, frequent in humid moss and the litter layer of well wooded areas.

Adults have been recorded throughout the year with a main peak in spring and early summer.

The species is widespread throughout much of Britain.
