Males: 1.82 mm, females: 2.1 to 2.3 mm. Inconspicuous but generally dark. Males have elevated eyes.

• Tibial spines: 2-2-1-1;  
• Metatarsus IV: trichobothrium present;  
• Position of TmI by range: 0.40 to 0.49.

Microscopic examination of genitalia is required to confirm identity.

Grassland and scrub. 

All year round

Widespread in much of Britain, becoming scattered in the north.

Widespread but uncommon or under recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland.
