Description

A slender, long‑snouted weevil specialised for life on poplars and willows - particularly Black Poplar and Hybrid Black Polar. It is 4-5mm (excluding the long rostrum) and tawny brown with the upper side covered in patchy pale and decumbent (lying flat) pubescence. The rostrum is only slightly curved. There is a small tooth on each femur, with the front femoral tooth being larger than the others.
