Low, spreading, hairless plant with branched stems and some spoon shaped leaves. Flowers yellow, 8 to 12 mm solitary, lateral or at stem forks.

Cultivated and waste places. The plant illustrated was found on farm topsoil that had been recently tipped and spread, its origins are unknown.

June to September.

Annual.

Usually only found as a casual, or naturalised in Britain.

Rare in Leicestershire and Rutland; not on the VC55 checklist (Jeeves, 2011)
