Females are greenish, typically with a green cuneus and two dark spots on the pronotum. Males are usually darker, with red cuneus.  Both sexes have darkish wing membranes with reddish wing veins

Quite similar to Closterotomus fulvomaculatus – care needs to be taken with id - and to Adelphocoris lineolatus and Pantilius tunicatus.

A new arrival in Britain where it has been associated with the planted Hypericum × hidcotense 'Hidcote' , but is polyphagous.  It is a pest of Olive crops in other parts of Europe.

New arrival in Britain – it was recently recorded for the first time in London – the species seems to be spreading.

Rare in Leicestershire and Rutland, but probably increasing in our area.
