4.5 - 6.2 mm. This brownish-yellow leafhopper has very long antennae, with  dark patches at their base. There are either no spots on the vertex, or very small ones at the front edge. The wings are fairly clear with pale venation.

Can only be identified by examination of internal genital structure of male. 

Marshy areas with larger sedges, particularly Carex acutiformis and C. riparia; often coastal.
