This is a dark grey coloured round fungus beetle.
Identification difficulty
Habitat
Can be found in Carrion and rotting vegetable matter. Prefers more open, non woodland habitats.
When to see it
All year peaking in spring and summer.
UK Status
Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.
VC55 Status
Occasional in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were a total of 15 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
