A small (2-2.4mm) orange-brown bug. Antennae slightly longer than width of rear of pronotum; ant2 entirely pale. Front wings with the clavus lacking punctures and densely covered with pale hairs. Inner edge of anterior tibiae of male furnished with 25-30 fine spinules. Male paramere arched in a quarter circle, strongly channeled.

Various habitats. Adults found on a large number of tree species.

Peak time is May to October.

Most records come from the southern half of Britain.

Rarely recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland but probably common.
