Brown Chafer - Serica brunnea
Description
8 to 10 mm. Entirely brown, but the head between the eyes is a darker brown. Head, thorax and elytra are punctate.

Habitat
Often found in sandy and chalky areas.
When to see it
Peak time is July and August.
UK Status
Locally fairly frequent across England, Wales and southern Scotland.
VC55 Status
Occasional in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were approximately 28 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
