A small pale brownish Mycena-like species growing on bark and woody debris.  The cap is pale brownish-yellow, paler at the edge, and striate; the gills are more or less decurrent.  The stem is whitish or wth brownish-yellow tints and may be darker below.   The stipe base has dense white fibrils.

This is a difficult species to verify from a photo and we recommend that it is verified by an expert from a specimen prior to submission to NatureSpot.  Also photograph from top down, in side view and underneath to show gills; ensure your photos show stipe base and attachment to substrate.  Note habitat and substrate.

Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland.
