Aphrodes species have a sharply pointed vertex with a median keel. They are very variable and may not be possible to identify to species. 

Unless determined by an expert or with a detailed description of a specimen, including measurements, and backed up by photos, records should be submitted as genus.

Usually seen in summer and autumn.
