3 to 5mm. A small, rounded leafhopper, very variable in markings.  Males usually have pale tranverse bars across darker forewings.  Females are larger with pale brown to dark brown mottled forewings, and may be impossible to identify. Examination of the internal male genitalia will confirm identification.
