8.8 to 10.4mm.  The overall colour of this medium-sized ground beetle is a coppery-green but the elytra have cream coloured margins. The antennae are dark apart from a paler brown first segment. The hind angles of the pronotum are strongly rounded.

Widespread and abundant in the southern and central England and Wales. Local in northern England and Scotland.
